Docent Art

Docent Art is an opportunity to volunteer in your child’s classroom. Volunteers are asked to offer around an hour in the classroom, three times throughout the course of the academic year. Volunteers share a story and art/artist information from a pre-developed lesson accompanied by a brief art project to the classes at Jenkins. Feel free to split the role with other volunteers, including other classroom parents or even interested family members (think retired grandparents!) All volunteers are expected to have an updated CORI and will connect with the classroom teacher directly to determine dates that work for both the volunteer and the classroom.

We are hoping to start offering the first lesson in the classrooms by the end of October through the beginning of November. All interest is greatly welcomed!!
