Jenkins has a new social emotional learning program called Purposefull People. The goal of this program is to help students be successful not only in school, but in life as well. Each month a different character trait is taught in the classroom through a variety of lessons, activities, discussions, games and literature.
Purposefull People has created a comprehensive book list that ties in with these nine traits. Our hope is that the Jenkins community could support the implementation of this important curriculum by purchasing a book for our school. The Purposefull People books will be housed in a special section of the Jenkins Library so that all teachers and staff members may check them out and use them with their students. Creating a library of books will not only enhance the lessons in this program, but will engage and support the students at Jenkins for years to come!
